@Big_G I I think it's clear he wanted better than 60, that's why he got sucked in. I think the point jda made is correct, he'd never have actually done that in training (actually one of his comments about training in general that I read (not related to the HM) is that he doesn't test himself in training just trusts the work he's doing). He said the longest he's run is 20km and that wouldn't have been threshold.

Yeah, agree he wouldn’t have done it in training, that is for sure.

The video of Ingebrigtsen talking about his threshold pace popped up for me. He said at least 21km/h which fits with an hour being a baseline for him. He also said it varies. I'd agree that coming out of winter would probably be the best time for a HM for him. instagram.com |

Anyone watching the Ingebrigtsen series on Amazon Prime? I think a new episode is being released weekly, so I’ve watched the first two which is all that is there at the moment. Quite a lot of the focus so far is on the home life and I’m a bit surprised Jakob in particular allowed the cameras to be recording at some of the stuff he was coming out with to his wife! He does not come across as a nice person! No details of training or anything, although episode 2 the brothers were in Flagstaff getting ready for the start of the season. The focus isn’t all on Jakob, far from it. I expect I’ll be watching it all, but I can’t say I’m loving it.
