Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Might be counterproductive. Car dealerships don't sell cars, they sell finance products, and they won't push EV sales if they won't make a tidy bit of commission on the financing.

They could still earn commission on low interest rate loans. In theory, the interest rate shouldn't affect that (up to a point).

Picking up first EV on Friday. Volvo Ex30.Ultra
Went to the second hand option as only 900 miles on the clock and has all the gizmos.

Sad to report that there is no cheap price electric if you live in the rural north England. Everything relies on working smart meters. But Ohme are fitting the fast charger I did consider staying with petrol/ diesel but going to EV was mostly about its green credentials.

Excited. The car drives so well.

Indeed. I would love to get an EX30. They look like so much fun.
But my huge dog wouldn't fit in the back, and I can't afford an EX40 at the moment. Oh well.

Enjoy the EX30 @runnyeyes I had one for the day yesterday whilst some paint work was being sorted on my 40, really fun to drive and I was surprised just how big the boot was etc … the boot on the 40 tho is the same … much bigger than you think from looking at it.

I am still astonished there are places in the country where you can't get a smart meter and hence can't access lower tariffs. I'd have thought that was almost illegal - as in discrimination or financial detriment or something.

EX30 looks great. Enjoy. :-) G

We are due to get a smart meter in a few months. Didn’t rush into it as economy 7 has been working ok but the radio system for the time switch is going down in the near future so it’s necessary now anyway.
