Panicked for nothing after some help with an IT issue and to also give us a belated anniversary gift. Overactive minds....

That is a lot of surgeries for anyone in a short period of time, hope she rests and recovers ok. Also best wishes for your surgery too.

Mil seems to be in good care. As well as whatever checks they are doing she has had the blood transfusion that the lack of a lift was preventing

They won’t do the cystoscopy though and that meds rebooked around hospital transport

Thinking of you all.

A year after mum was having investigations we're back with similar symptoms. Off to the Emergency Unit tomorrow to sit around for 6 hours hoping a surgeon can have a wee look.

I hope your day isn't too stressful Lizzie.

Good to hear that BiL is being reasonable Baz. Hope that's helped Mrs Baz to relax a little.

I thought I'd start a thread, as lots of us have elderly folks that we worry about/care for.

Also: After someone dies, if their home insurance was only in their name, sadly the cover becomes void. But if the policy was in joint names, it will still cover the surviving policyholder (though the names on the policy will need to be updated).

Pension Credit. The rules are a bit complex but if your elderly relative has some sort of disability (in this case dementia/Alzheimer's) and go into a home, they may be able to claim pension credit. So if carers allowance stops, it seems pension credit can start. It can also be backdated.
