Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Cuddy
Hi all. My race number came today, as I'm recovering from bronchitis, which sucks a bit. No idea what will happen on race day, but at this point I'll just try to finish and enjoy the day.

Cheers HT. Fingers crossed for the weather on the 25th.

Baz, so you'll be sinking your first beer when I won't have started, that doesn't sound fair ;)

Cuddy, great attitude and the best way to approach it.

Aye - the threed's got a bit o buzz aboot it.

Rome was great Mave. But it poured with rain. The blue skies I'd been dreaming about on dreich dark mornings were nowhere to be seen. I've a wee occasional blog where I wrote about it: onemanrunning.wordpress.com/2014/04/11/running-rome/

Cuddy - that's the way. My last marathon (which was also my first), I was halfway through a course on antibiotics for a throat infection that was causing me all sorts of concerns and issues. But I went there thinking the same: I'll finish this - and I did; I'll enjoy it - and I reallyReallyREALLY did.

One more long run for me after 16 miles this morning.

Good stuff Mave & gingembre. The countdown is on. I've even taken to looking at long-range weather forecasts:
accuweather.com

Cloudy and quite cool would be good - a day just like today.
