Signed up to EMF marathon last night. Anyone else doing it? Or one of the other EMF races?
Pretty excited now, it'll be my second marathon afetr doing London for the first time this year.
Anyone done it before and have any advice re: getting to start line, getting from the finish line, accommodation etc? I got a bit startled by all the 'buy tickets to the start/finish' selling that was happening during race entry.

I did Edinburgh twice a few years ago. First time we stayed in town and got the bus back from the finish - loooong queues, took ages (but I think it might be better now). Second time we stayed in Musselburgh and walked back to the hotel - much better

I love Edinburgh.
thanks for the top tips! We'll prob have to be away Sunday night so my OH doesn't have to rake the Monday off work. A hotel at the start would be a good idea.

Think we are having a big club trip with a few relay teams and a few solo efforts. Im going solo and will hopefully go sub 3 hours. Did the relay in 2012 and we had 2nd and 3rd teams.

I'm in for this, quite looking forward to it
I've booked a hotel 3miles out so hoping to perhaps taxi so far in and then walk the last mile to the start as a warm up ( well thats the theory anyway )
