Thanks for the kind gesture Santa B, he said he was struggling at the 20 so any and all encouragement was well received - but that's what Fetchies are like

Hi all.
I know I'm late to the party but haven't had a minute to get on here.
Had a great race! Had a target of sub 3.30 and managed 3.29.50!!! I was glad I had gone slightly under 8min/mile given I ended up running 26.4m. All my splits between 7.50 and 8.06 and even managed a "sprint" finish for the last couple of hundred metres - lucky given how close I was!!
Great cheering at Fetchpoint - I gave a shout out and got a massive cheer! Was in my Road Runners Club vest so wasn't an obvious fetchie!
Well done to everyone else - some great finishing times!
Agree with most of the comments about finishing so far out of town- won't be doing this one again as the journey back did my head in but was a good experience though :o)
I had said I was going to do a 50km later this year if I beat 3.30 (as won't then plan another this year) - regretting thinking that now!! Haha.
