I'm considering a last minute good for age entry (has to be in today!)
However I'm a bit concerned about the logistics of getting there. I'm from east anglia but would plan on the Friday to drive to Newcastle so the Mrs can visit some relatives.
Then on the Sunday morning drive to Edinburgh and find somewhere to park and get a bus to the start. Any suggestions on the best place to get the bus from if i'm coming up from the south?
Thanks

Chris, Sunday parking in town is free. Because the start is early, there will be plenty of spaces. I would park anywhere town centre, then just walk a few 00 metres to the start. Easy peasy. Good luck all at Edinburgh. I'll probably be out supporting on the course somewhere. Love watching a marathon! G

Thanks G.
I'll be fully relying on sat nav to get there, any suggestions on a post code I could use?

OK, central, east would be e.g. St Andrew Square EH2 2AD. Give yourself *lots* of time, because central Edinburgh driving is slow and congested. If satnav says to avoid a road closure, do! Also, you may have to drive in circles for a bit to find a place. You shouldn't need to use phone walking nav to get to start though. There will be squillions of folk streaming to it!
I'm thinking more driving time, for less walking time, and greater convenience is what you would prefer though? G

I'm doing the 10k for the first time. Usually do the half marathon but got a 30th birthday party BBQ after the 10k and then a wedding at night!

Idly wondering when race packs get posted out (and having a very poor memory) I've been having a nose through previous years' threads - seems like they tend to only appear about a week before the race.
Logging into 'My Details' I can see that despite putting in a faster prediction than ever before (3:33), I've got a number >1000 higher than last year when I predicted 3:37. Either there's going to be a lot of fast runners this year, or they're demoting me after my relatively poor performance (3:46 off the back of London) last year. I presume I'll still get to start on London Road.
