They've only just put the details into the 'My Details' bit of the website (I'm orange start on London Road). I wouldn't expect to see race packs for about another week.

I strained my calf on Wednesday doing a relatively easy 20k, not run since but hoping to test it out tomorrow

Ive had strained calf issues before and 5 days rest if its a minor grade 1 is usually good enough
Once happened on my last long run of 23 miles about 3 weeks out.

Sorry to hear of latest injury woes - I woke up this morning with a stinking cold! Hopefully most things will clear up in the next fortnight. More newbie questions - how early do you get to the start, and are there really "numerous" loos at the start? How efficient is the bag collection? Thanks in advance!

I've not ran Edinburgh before AJLB, but from previous marathons I have found bag collection at the end to be efficient. Getting to the start at least an hour before the race is due to start is advised I would say, as there may be numerous loos, but there're NEVER enough!
Thanks for the advice re: injury. It's already been rested for 3 days and is starting to feel just a little better. I'm extremely tempted to bin the rest of the running now to maximise recovery, although this would probably be at the expense of a bit of fitness. Getting to the start line is the most important thing!

AJLB, for the toilets, it's worth looking in advance as to where they're all sited at the starts, and then going to the second set (at last year's half, there were lengthy queues at the first lot on Regents Rd, then dozens of empty portaloos at the next).
Bag collection is good and efficient, but given the unpredictability of the Scottish weather, make sure that your clothing is in a waterproof bag inside the drop bag, as they're not covered at the finish.
