Alive!! Really enjoyed it, the only negative was the transport arrangements at the end but the race was great. 19 secs off my PB, which considering the heat I'm very happy with. :-) Now enjoying local beer. :-)

Good god it was hot!
A fantastic day. My time was scuppered by the heat (that harr came sooooo close to hitting the road). Still a very pleasing first marathon at 4:27.
It was well organised and overall went off without a flaw, although it seemed that they were running really short of water on some of the later stations.
Congrats to you all who ran!

Wintree, i think the tide was too far out for the harr to get close enough to us.

Well done everyone who finished it. There certainly was a few casualties on the course. Got to feel sorry for the two runners who just turned into the home straight.... Only to be carted off to hospital when the keeled over!

Massive 12 minute pb for me today and it takes me under the magical 3:30 finish. 3:28:04 :)

Sorry i missed you Spicy and IanS :(

The Haar was weird for me, just as we approached Gosford it descended and I thought great, nice run in to the finish with the Haar cooling and abreeze behind us. Bu the time I exited Gosford the Haar was gone and the wind appeared to have cruelly changed direction

Well done Rentboy, great run in the conditions...I reckon today added 3-5 mins on to times on a cool day

Blimey it was hot - still dug in and did 5.29 (not speedy but faster than last year in London) I had such good fun at the start line with SpeedyMel (who just seemed to be eating every time I saw her!! ;)) and McNewbie (luverly to see you again). Thanks guys you made the start so much fun. Remember to keep a look out for "Pasty" and "Cream Tea" :)
