Congrats, Mandy.
Maybe Olivia as in Olivia Newt(on) John?

Booboom! (It's a boy, btw - not saying names have to be gender specific, but Oliver?)

Or Gingrich? (As in former Speaker of the House of Representatives?!) :-) G

Congrats on the safe and speedy arrival of your new grandchild, Mandy.

And well done Happy for the culinary effort... more assembling than anything else, but hey, it's a start! :-)

^ There's my new thing. The black shoes on the left are my old ones and they're too small. Must have thrown another pink pair out some time ago. Good fun going to Freed's in Covent Garden - can't remember when I was last there.

My feet are a lot more veiny than they used to be! And there's the beginnings of a bunion on my right foot. Aaaaaaaagh!

Nice shoes Sharkie!

Not much in the way of newts today!

Thought I’d finished knitting my newt hat then got all perfectionist over the crown and have taken it back for a second attempt!

Congratulations Mandy!

(SweetPea just under 7lb, Marigold just over 9lb)

Looks exciting Sharkie :-)

I've bought some boots that I've been thinking about for ages- finally bitten the bullet. They should arrive by the weekend.

I also sat in the lounge for my meetings today instead of in the kitchen, and I had a proper break at lunchtime instead of working through.

About This Thread

Maintained by Sharkie
Most of you know the score. Much in the bizarre way Easter has come to mean Chocolate, Lent is mainly thought of as an opportunity to Give Up Chocolate. At least until Easter. You know what I mean, 'What are you giving up for Lent?' * I say NO to this. Away with the hair shirts and the deprivation. Let's embrace change and the NEW. Spring is a time of renewal - and restoration.

Soooooo..... you don't have to take up indoor sky diving like my partner's 90 year old mot...
