Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Ballet :) :) :)

I was reading about hopping yesterday. Steve Magness reckons it's a good substitute for muscle biopsies.

Oh V-rap I HAVE to have a book called 'Do Hard Things'. That'll teach me to Google Steve Magness. Although it's probably about Ultras and Triathlons and that sort of thing.

I have The Science of Running. It's a very badly written excellent book. There are so many typos and apostrophe's in funny place's that I'd believe you if you told me I had the first draft rather than the finished article, but it's worth ploughing through.

A first run in new shoes today! Decided to break a new pair out of their storage box in case my old ones are contributing to my left calf issue. They felt nice and bouncy!!

I am still awaiting the appearance of the hedgehogs but quite enjoying the new spring visitors of goldfinches and greenfinches :-)

I did manage to plant 8 newt plants in the end.
And cut the grass paths at the back for the first time this year.
Knackered now. I had a bonfire going all day to deal with the vast quantity of brambles I dug out...
Taking tomorrow morning off, to plant the rest of my newt plants and hopefully sort out my drying/potting shed...

About This Thread

Most of you know the score. Much in the bizarre way Easter has come to mean Chocolate, Lent is mainly thought of as an opportunity to Give Up Chocolate. At least until Easter. You know what I mean, 'What are you giving up for Lent?' * I say NO to this. Away with the hair shirts and the deprivation. Let's embrace change and the NEW. Spring is a time of renewal - and restoration.

Soooooo..... you don't have to take up indoor sky diving like my partner's 90 year old mot...
