My main newt of the day is driving the motorhome home from storage for the first time since last October. It’s going in for a service and check over tomorrow, so needed to get it today, and jump start the battery. It made me smile just driving it, although a little scary as it is so big... reversing into the tight spot at the local petrol station’s hand car wash was entertaining, but I haven’t lost it :-)

Aww GM how lovely to have occupants in the nest box! Agree with Hanneke’s decision :-)

My newt was registering interest in volunteering for helping at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham next year.

The Great Raemondo
What a fab weekend of jingling!

We got paint on the newt ruck bed, it looks so much better now :D

Also walked the honds around a few fields that we haven't for a little while and saw lots of little buds and tiny leaves, soon everything will explode into greenery.

Tomorrow a load of slabs and sand should be delivered for the final stage of the hard landscaping in the garden - a new path and replacing some of the paving by the garage door and pond. Not sure that'll be all done by easter, though.

About This Thread

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
