Not sure if have done a newt today but have done lots of newts for this year. Transplanted my chilli plants, and some lupins. Newt is seeing all the seeds beginning to grow in the green house

I have a rubbish new thing today - I burnt some cookies, then made a dinner I didn’t like. I swear I’m good at cooking 🤣🤣
In better news I’ve been reading some new books.

I was supposed to start mentoring my niece via facetime tonight, but my sister didn't get the food on the table on time, and then I didn't, so now it is going to be tomorrow after breakfast... I lovely Newt to look forward to.

A fantastic bike ride with a friend earlier exploring the local woods. Some bits I’ve done before but it was good to link things up and create a newt route. We were out twice as long as I’d expected but partly because we added some bits because we were enjoying ourselves.

Mmmmm venison balls (I'm only vegan during Lent, which reminds me, must think about a beast to roast for Easter)

I love that yew tree B. Can’t comprehend it being that old.

As always great newts going loving the running updates and that is a fab pop Hann.

My curry was worth the effort. I have 7 base sauces for the freezer & I made a double dopiaza so that is a full curry for the freezer too.

I haven’t had this curry before so no idea how authentic it was, and the temptation was to make a curry we have had before so it was nice to push and do something new.

About This Thread

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
