For me, it will be very sad as I will be giving up everything I love, the permaculture garden I have built, just coming to a point of starting to harvest this year and produce medicine, the business I am setting up, my home of 26 years, my friends... This beautiful landscape... Exchange a living, a mortgage free converted chapel home, half an acre of garden built from a field, over 100 trees I planted, my chickens, possibly my cat, for unemployed destitution without support, benefits or pension as I will be moving from a non EU country without reciprocal arrangements, into a rental studio flat as that would be all I can afford... Which most likely won't allow my beloved cat. It doesn't bear thinking about!
Let's swiftly move on!

Something very satisfying about a running (or walking) loop. Must be especially gratifying, Sarah.

May well be across Fetch in general but here on our thread running does seem to have stepped up a notch for most of us. Hurrah!

Yes! Hurrah indeed! In fact, I am contemplating tomorrows Newt which is a recover run/walk after todays run/walk of 5 kms where i mainly ran! Tomorrow will be a two our or so walk with running breaks...
And I am looking at my Newt pot right now, reading my Newt Hortus magazine that arrived the ither day, drinking a not at all newt mug of turmeric root brew.

My newt is running in a jacket that used to ride up because it was too small. It stayed in place today. I was grateful for it to protect me from the chill of the wind.

Love the newt pot, it is certainly Riesesque
Today’s newt was giving a presentation online at a conference, I’ve taught online and given presentations online but the only online conference I’ve presented at was a pre recorded affair and was pretty unsatisfactory. This one was fun!

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
