All help clearing out gratefully received here too! Good effort Sharkie.

Very quiet newt day today work has been manic, I managed to do an early morning run with some j reveals - I’m a reluctant interval runner.

So far I’ve resisted the urge to buy more flancis but my resolve is weakening. It’s inky that I promised myself no more buying until I clear out.

Quiet newt day for me too. I’m going with not having tea for the first time in a very long time. Call it an unintentional fast... I’d had an oblong at about 5 and wasn’t hungry when I finished work about 8:30. Of course I’m hungry now but it’s too late to eat and I’m now mentally set on fasting :-)

Fetchie flanci-ing here
Not much else. I went in search of more signs of Spring but unfortunately didn't find any. I'm quite pleased though, I've got out for exercise (mainly walking) every day of Lent so far, apart from one. It's a cumulative newt really- making myself go out at the end of the working day instead of getting bogged down in jobs.

I went to Tesco instead of Sainsbury’s... and bought some socks! Not very inspiring today.

I tried 100% chocolate with cheese, with honey, and with balsamic. Because I don't like it on its own. Cheese and honey are good.

Also tried Diary Milk with Crunchie. That's good.

I almost took a leaf out of Sharkie's book - or magazine perhaps as I picked up a big pile of magazines to chuck out last night and thought I should read them first - within about the first three pages of the first one (dating from 2007) I realised that it really wasn't necessary to either read it or keep it any longer.

Today I might start on my collection of football programmes - that may be more of a challenge!

So nice to see I am not the only one who buys magazines then doesn't read them and ends up recycling un touched.

I have read a few magazines on amazon kindle unlimited and just subscribed to a digital yoga magazine which is £3:50 cheaper than buying the actual magazine

About This Thread

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
