I’ve got quite a collection of old Vogue knitting magazines I need to have a quick glance through, assure myself I won’t be knitting anything out of it and then finally get rid, well apart from the really treasured ones! I’m in the process of clearing my craft room so I can actually craft in the room! It has become a little over run! Yesterday I did manage to get rid of some recycling! I’m just trying to sort some odd balls of wool I may never get around to using!

I get pottery magazines but do actually read them (once). I should probably donate them to the class when I’ve finished, though sometimes I flick through the odd one for inspiration

I need new running bras, socks and capris, might have a buying spree as a reward for finishing marking

I've not done anything new for a few days. This is quite sad.

Oh I DO read my magazines - that’s the problem. I read them and keep them, I have Vogues from the early 1970s onwards ... and Q and the Face from Issue 1, and Honey, Petticoat, Smash Hits, Four Four Two, Rave, Frank, id, The Brownie (from Issue 1 mid 1960s!).... need I go on?

I agree with Fleecy. Not even a new book, Dio? And didn’t you run on Monday (unusual) or have I got that wrong? It’s only Thursday.

True about the run. New books don't seem like much of a newt, there are always new books.

Oh Sharkie! Now your getting rid from the other day is even more impressive.

My newt so far is that I opened a new kilo bag of coffee beans and am enjoying the first cup from it.

There are rumours of another adventure race end April you could sign up for one of those if you still fancy it. I’m not sure yet triadventure.co.uk

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
