Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Cleats put the fear of death into me. Takes me long enough to get foot on pedal!

Not so much noobie, but I'm thinking I need a wing mirror.

Getting more & more difficult to look behind & cycle & steer & prepare to unclip all at the same time ...
Or maybe it's also the road layouts that make turning right on 60mph roads so difficult/dangerous?

I've got a mirror on the end of my handlebar and I feel much more confident with it. I still look behind before actually turning but I prepare better because I know if any traffic, including faster cyclists, is catching me up.

I’d be reluctant to ride on busy roads without a mirror. My neck doesn’t swivel as well as it used to. I’ve also lost the ability to look behind and continue to cycle in a straight line!

I'm really glad I got myself a mirror. I have the same issue as ER with looking behind while holding my line!

Yes ^^^ if there's traffic coming up behind, I pull to the kerb and wait for them to go or slow right down until they pass. I try to avoid looking back if I know there is a car coming for that reason!

Question about the Garmin Edge - does it work reasonably well for walking/hiking as well?
