I do get a childish pleasure from overtaking another cyclist, mainly because it hardly ever happens. And it’s usually someone with with a basket on their handlebars, or a mum towing their kid to school in a bike trailer. Small victories and all that..

I am very slow. Was getting overtaken by runners & small children on their bikes yesterday!

I’ve booked a Breeze ride on Sunday. Slow and steady on a traffic-free route. I’m looking forward to riding with other people after so long. I also wish I lived near other Fetchies that I could ride with.

GM, if we met halfway for a ride together we probably wouldn't be riding anywhere very fast.

Breeze has started up here too, but only the rural ones, so local Covid restrictions means us city dwellers can't participate yet.... Hoping the Fat Lad at the back city rides start soon, altho I worry I will be off the pace for them... and I have no FLAB gear.., my cycling tops have so far come from Decathlon or China! lol! |

That's an idea, FF. Something to look forward to when we can travel further afield and the weather improves

There's a Breeze ride tomorrow that I would have really liked - it was a sort of 'reintroduction to cycling' which I could really do with - but when it came up on my FB timeline it was already fully booked I've lost so much confidence on the road - although my wrist rear-view mirror amazon.co.uk is helping a great deal. I'm even turning right again |
