57.5 Degrees of Pain
My elderly friend in Aberdeen can meet us out on some adventurous routes now on his ebike. I'm sure that gets him plenty more exercise than if he was limited by his current power output.

The group I was with at the weekend were saying that groups combining e-bikes and usual were far easier to manage where people were of different abilities. I would certainly get one if I lived somewhere very hilly - but round here it's pretty rolling.

I cycle a lot using my human-powered bicycle. ;-)
I shall have no qualms about getting myself an ebike when I am no longer able to propel myself sufficiently.
Nor do I look down on people who use ebikes now. They are getting some exercise, and I feel that ebikes are a legitimate form of transport.

That's my thinking, I'm saving money on fuel. Altho knowing what i paid for her, it'll be a while til she breaks even!

The green credentials notwithstanding.

If electric bikes get a few more people out of their cars for short journeys that can only be a good thing!

Cycled to work today on Vera Vado. Went very well. Feels safer in a lot of ways, more able to get out of folk's way, and not holding people up by chugging up inclines.

I rode under my own steam mainly, with assist when I came to a hill.

she is big, and lumbersome (not a word, i know but accurate!) to move when manoevering out the house, and into the office. but once cycling, she feels good......

I think I'll keep her! and live with her big lumpy looks! (like bike, like owner!)

E-bikes are very popular around East Devon, which is a pretty hilly area. I could be persuaded, so OH and I could go out for rides together, but the cost puts me off.

LD: Do you already have a bike you like? If so, maybe consider conversion kits. Both of my parents have done this and it's made a huge difference for a fraction of the cost of a new e bike.

Tried out my new Fetch cycling shirt. Unfortunately I arrived at the café just a few too late and had to go to the pub instead. :-)
