LD: Do you already have a bike you like? If so, maybe consider conversion kits. Both of my parents have done this and it's made a huge difference for a fraction of the cost of a new e bike.

Just spent 20 minutes trying to get a tyre off so I can replace the inner tube - I can't even get a tyre lever under it. It's completely defeated me.

What sort of tyre Andy? Continentals are notoriously tight on the rim.

It's a Vittoria Terreno Zero. I can't tell if it's because of the tyre, the rim - or it's just me not having a clue.

Mmmm, they're not normally too bad. Let's put it this way - have you changed many tyres in the past? They can be quite a tight fit.

Just get those levers well under the rim and don't worry about the tube. I often find that three levers works best.

Is it fully deflated? And yes, I use 3. And soemtimes a fairly hefty screwdriver to get started.
