Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I'd get rid of it *and* the One Day Cup. 50 over cricket is dead.

@Surrey Phil - presumably the route hasn't changed and you come out to God's own earth and the fair land of Chelmer Village?

I am sitting here reading my copy of the Cricketer. In the editorial there's a little paragraph that reads as follows.

The men's TV audience on BBC and Sky was down 43%, purely Sky 54%. Women's down 33% on both.

That is trouble for the sale, trouble for everything. Not only are they messing about with the game, it'll be worth bog all if nobody watches.

Not for the ICC.

The World cup pays the bills. Literally.

Hence why the ICC trophy is being resurrected like like an unwanted zombie from a D movie.

This for the C?

It was predictable and some said so at the time.

I fear that the real benefits to the women's game might be lost if the ECB isn't careful, because it was never going to be a sustainable competition when noone else plays a silly format.

Olympics clash will explain some of that.

A Google search has a telegraph article saying women's viewing figures didn't change on the BBC?

GregP I think the marathon is all west of Chelmsford now and that early loop around Chelmer got dropped last year. I quite liked it personally but it probably had something to do with road closures.

It used to be all west of Chelmsford back in the early days I think. I remember marshalling out Newney Green way. This was before The Great Kerfuffle, when Striders stopped providing volunteers. I had and still have no idea what it was about. Running club politics is something I manage to be reasonably blind to.
