Not my highest score, but perhaps greatest performance was 1* batting out 15+ overs for a losing draw and our only point of the season.

5 down within 10 overs isn’t the best start

Weather curtailed rhe Rachel Heyhoe Flint final - Sunrisers win on DLS.
Was useful for me as we were getting Grace Rd's weather ten minutes later. Was able to get the washing in before the rain started!

Exciting finish in the one-day cup. Having seemingly been completely out of the game, Somerset now need 38 off 3 overs.

Good job the final is at Trent Bridge rather than somewhere in London by the looks of the weather in the south.

Brilliant penultimate over by Jamie McIlroy for Glamorgan, conceding just 6 runs.

Pity that the One-Day Cup ends up being another T20 thanks to the unpredictable late September weather. This week's final Championship matches look equally farcical.

I presume that next summer's cricket has already been decided. Hopefully, it will conclude before the third week in September as it used to be when I was growing up.

I personally would get rid of The Hundred, and reduce the number of T20 games (go back to three groups of six and play ten games, or play two fewer group games and drop the quarter-finals). However, it's all about money and generating income so that's never going to happen.

Thanks GregP - sorry I am working all week. However, I will be coming up to Chelmsford for the marathon in three weeks' time. Central Park is just a stone's throw away from the County Ground if memory serves me right.

More a lob than a throw, yes, absolutely.
