This week's final Championship matches look equally farcical. I presume that next summer's cricket has already been decided. Hopefully, it will conclude before the third week in September as it used to be when I was growing up. I personally would get rid of The Hundred, and reduce the number of T20 games (go back to three groups of six and play ten games, or play two fewer group games and drop the quarter-finals). However, it's all about money and generating income so that's never going to happen.
