um
Had front row seats for WI at Edgbaston.
June 2020

So much for that.
Previous was WI at Lords. Back in 1988 when they scored 338 in a day (I think)

Basin Reserve (Wellington) is a fantastic ground. They've got the National Cricket Museum as well which cost 1 dollar to get it. The curator/owner had a Gandalf style wizard beard. I liked that you could cut through the ground as well, can't imagine that happening at Lords. There's about a million nice little shawarma places in and around Cuba Street as well.

University Oval (Dunedin) was nice as well, grass banks and decent food vans as well. I went to the England test there in 2013. It pissed it down the first day and we all huddled in the toilets to keep warm, like penguins, before sacking it off and going to the pub.

Eden Park is a dump. It's not right for cricket.

Went to the MCG in 2010 as well for the Boxing Day test. 30+ degree heat and drinking VB all day. Thankfully I remembered my hat. Felt very ill the next day. Don't drink and cricket, it's not worth it.

I try and go and watch a day of County Championship at Glummy once a season. It's a pleasant day out, if you bring a book and appropriate clothing.

Wanderers, Centurion Park (90% sure I’ve seen a test there, definitely ODI) and Oval for me.

Shock Horror: I have never been to a Test Match

Been to a couple of ODI's at Trent Bridge. Watched county cricket at Trent Bridge, Derby, Ilkeston (Gary Sobers!) and Lords (after a tour). Been on a corporate to watch T20 at Northampton. Watched Derek Randall captain an International XI against West Indies under lights at Don Valley Stadium. Oh, and also stayed in the hotel at Old Trafford, but it was February. I need to get out more.

I might accidentally be in the 'break glass in case of emergency' squad for Essex Police Vets next season...
