Clarke spent most of the last 30 minutes trying to get his team taken off for the draw

What an incredible day of cricket....just a shame it had to end the way it did. Still, what a day to have been there

Red balls are more difficult to pick up than the white ones used in limited overs.

Yes, still a shame after such an exciting session. The booing was deafening!!! Stil, saw 447 runs and 16 wickets! And of course the presentation!!

FFS, all that money that they've spent on big money signings (from being the home of all the corrupt bankers who screwed us all) and Surrey still can't even hang on for a draw. Just shows that in addition to being a shite place, they're shite at cricket as well.
Means we need to beat Durham for definite now. Plus a win against either Sussex or Middlesex.
Agree with light situation and shite ICC regulations. Not umpires fault, but they should have stood up against it.
Karachi should have been the exemplar for the argument against the ICC regulations in the first place. Pakistan reaped what they sewed in that test match anyway - they had the world's slowest over rate plus 93million delaying tactics to try and stop us from winning.

Clarke is to be applauded for a very shrewd declaration, and England for making a chase of it. All three outcomes were still on the table when it ended. England's to lose but the Aussies were a decent delivery from being into the England tail. I certainly wouldn't have fancied being the next man in.
Would have been a great finish...
