Pretty much 50/50 England or India from here - 96 off 10 overs with 3 wickets down. Just depends on how well we play the spinners.

I've only been briefly following on live text. Went from flying to collapsing in an instant.

I'd forgotten India had brought a substitute bowler on, so fast bowler who takes the next wicket, in Harshit Rana.

Latest episode of the Real Science of Sport pod is looking at Test Cricket and whether (or why) it is dying. I've not listened yet but I thought it might be of interest to the regulars on this thread.

tl;dr

Because it's no longer 1880 or even 1980? Jokes aside, thank you, I may have to listen when I find the right opportunity.

2nd ball on his debut (as a concussion substitute). That must be a first?

And perhaps not entirely unrelated to Test cricket's death on just one way how the sport (and many others to be fair) has evolved.

The whole concussion sub as a bowler thing would look less dodgy if Dube hadn't passed the on-field test and carried on batting. I suppose concussion can take a while to show up.

16 off 3 balls for Harry Brook makes England favourites, surely? Not much more batting to come though.

Are we allowed to say that India are bending the rules? As usual.

Well, no doubt the Aussies will soon be naming a team with 11 batsmen who then all get concussed during the interval and they then have bring on 11 subs of whom 5 are specialist fielders plus 5 bowlers.
