The Scottish self isolate regards to Test and Protect :

"The first minister stressed that self-isolation means only leaving the house if it is to go for a coronavirus test - and not for exercise or to get food or medicine"

Hmmm..........

K5 Gus re earlier spitting/snotting post: I assumed that all ladies carry a lace-edged handkerchief as I do, clearly a sexist thought😊. I did look this up once, apparently exercise increases the production of a protein in saliva which makes it thick and difficult to swallow, hence the reason why so many athletes spit.

K5 Gus, I agree with your implication that not allowing leaving the house for exercise will make it tough. I personally would have preferred allowing the possibility of out-door exercise away from home. However as far as I am aware those countries that have succeeded in controlling CV-19 with test, trace and isolate have not allowed exercise away from home.

At the time when PH was confined to a hotel room in Wales for two weeks, if I remember correctly, someone who commented on her Fetch blog linked to another blog that described the rigorous isolation facing new arrivals in Australia. I understand that even now, travellers across State borders undergo rigorous isolation for two weeks.

Once we get CV-19 well under control, the risk of contact with an infected person should be small, but to achieve that level of control, we probably face another month or two that will test our patience and self-discipline. I am well aware that for some people that will be very tough. A second wave of uncontrolled infection is likely to be even more stressful

K5 what about running at night, I mean like 2am when no-one else is around? If in isolation it doesn’t matter what your sleeping patterns are? Crikey I have gone full-Dom.

The point that troubles me is doing one tracer-initiated call, self isolating for a fortnight, coming back out for a week, then getting a second tracer call. Or maybe a third and fourth.
