Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

We’ve lost about 25% council staff to illness and isolation on a good day. So it may be that the staff they have need to cover refuse. I’m not sure how easy it is to keep 2m apart for most of the refuse jobs either

Last couple of years, I've burnt some wood in my kettle barbeque. It's quite primal. My neighbour also has an enclosed burny-woody thing (a posh brazier, really).

I've got an incinerator, but no matter how hot it burns or how late in the evening I fire it my neighbour always complains he can smell it :(

The lads collecting our black (household non-recyclable) waste today were playing some sort of relay race game - gave them a bit of a cheer and a big thank you - but they were having too much fun to notice :)

Rosehip, I did ask him back in feb before all this kicked off!

However it's a small enough tree that I know there is nothing nesting though the magpies will probably take up residence shortly. It will probably have to wait a year unless I take advantage of the low traffic and risk it myself.

I agree it's all small beer in the greater scheme of things.
