We are now coming home on the 9th, after WE discovered BA flight had been cancelled! Anyway long stressful night but now sorted, I have a bad head! I’m dreading the flight home but hubby did say he wonders if they’ll have social distancing on board. We’ll find out next week I guess. |

Interesting, Chris. Just today, I looked out my gate, on a sunny afternoon - and never went out. Ordinarily, I might have wandered around the scheme for five minutes, or gone to the park (200m away) for 10 minutes. I could even avoid the paths there and wander on the football pitches. But I didn't, so as not to use up my "exercise allowance" (In a twist, I then never went out at all). |

news is definitely slowing down - is this a sign of us normalising the whole thing or things settling?

Has anyone ever tried to wear a face mask for normal tasks for any amount of time? IT is quite hard. My father was in hospital for 10 days over over Christmas/New Year with flu. When visiting I had to wear protective kit including gloves, plastic cover over my clothes & a face mask. Even just chatting or moving around his isolation room was quite hard. You get very overheated trying to talk/breath through a face mask. We are all runners here. At some point we are going to have to accept the risk of mixing without a face mask or there will be no sport of any type going forward. Put simply - you can't do sport wearing a face mask!

JR I know I have seen/heard many nurses complaining of over heating and getting sores on their faces from masks

EvilPixie - I don't have any answers but I do think that permanent wearing of face masks in public is just not an option if we want to have any sort of sport, be that elite or amateur, in the future. Even low level exercise would be almost impossible with a mask on. If you think when you are skiing and do wear a face mask against the cold - it can actually be quite hard to breath.
