Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

I do know this is the main reason it’s running wild again, I do tend to test if it’s a bad cold and get that you can have minimal/no symptoms. I am just Uber cautious now even with a cold I minimise contact with others.

Interesting that you said only over 75s we're offered the vaccination last year @Shades as I had one and was 69 with no underlying conditions.

Get better soon GG, and also hope you feel fully fit soon @Mandymoo

My parents are also late 60s and had the booster but I thought maybe it was as it was different in Scotland

I think the over 75s had an extra jab last year and all the over 65s had one in the autumn.

I think that’s right alpenrose. I had a booster along with my flu jab last autumn but didn’t get a spring one

I got a booster last year by saying I was carer for my mum, 86 with various vulnerabilities.

Gg that is very annoying. Tbh most people and even companies with their employees just treating it as a cold now. Which it flippin isn't, but what can you do? GWS. :-) G

It’s good to see they’ve bringing boosters forward as it’s certainly not going anywhere.

I think I’m a bit sensitive that it was a bit blaze when I spoke to auntie earlier. I did get Covid in 2020 but avoided it since - judgement and also some luck and trying to keep my elderly parents safe.

People are treating it as a cold now. If I hadn’t tested I’d have thought I had a bad cold but I’d still have worked with caution to avoid spreading it. Hey ho.

I had a jab last year, it was this Spring that it was 75's only.

It doesn't help those of us that want the vaccine that last year, when it was over 65's, there was a poor take up of the vaccine.

Gutted for Mr LG and hope you avoid it.

I have a negative test today but loads of mouth ulcers which 111 said is likely due to Covid it’s so painful. But most of the head cold symptoms have gone now to work in fatigue even though garmin says I’m in my prime again I don’t feel it. Mind you it never alerted me to being poorly neither.
