Sorry to hear that UC. Good news is that the vaccines make the cases people are getting now much less severe (in general, obviously everyone is different etc.) Hope you feel better soon.

Paracetamol for pain or fever, anything for cough like cough syrup. I also used my inhaler more when I found breathing difficult and coughing. GWS. :-) G

I took ibuprofen for the headache. Nothing for the cough as cough medicines seem to be discouraged now and I didn't have any at home. My cough and sore throat cleared first.

Paracetamol if it's bad, though there may be something to be said for sweating it out. I believe there's some evidence that the fever response to a virus actually helps us to overcome them.

All I took was paracetamol when the fever was uncomfortable. If cough medicines were effective enough to justify the cost I'd have taken something to suppress the annoying cough that continued for a couple of weeks after everything else was back to normal, but they're not so I didn't.

I wondered how effective cough medicines were, I have some and will try it tonight, as they have sugar in them I won’t be taking it during the day. Cough seems a bit less today.

Tragic about the Bayesian yacht sinking.

In happier sailing news, thinking about joining local club. I have 2 within 20 mins. Spoilt for choice! Kinghorn or Dalgety Bay. I've always avoided coastal just because feels safer on Loch or reservoir. But coast is closer than loch clubs!

Favouring Kinghorn because a. former boss who I hated was Dalgety Bay member and b. they have a wee loch too! :-) G
