A much better nights sleep. Didn’t waken once which is unusual even in times of good health. No sweats I was aware of and I think I sense I feel the lurgy is lifting.
I hope that’s not jinxed it

That's good news baz.
My throat is worse, even moving my tongue hurts. I'm aware of it without even trying to swallow, it's like into the roof of my mouth. That said I did actually sleep really well last night. My chest is no worse today.

10th day of testing positive here, symptoms have been very manageable apart from headaches early on.
I'm very fortunate that this is having limited impact on my life but I don't see how many people can avoid going back to work while infectious but not unwell given the govt financial support scheme was closed months ago.
All very well saying NHS guidance suggests you stay home while positive, but the government message is really "Get back out there, we're not helping anyone any more"

Mr Ness and I have made sure we stayed away from people while positive. I did go out for a walk and a run but went out early to avoid contact with others. Fortunately we also had enough food until yesterday. Mr Ness got a negative test then, so we could restock. We had had family members offer to bring stuff and drop it off at the door but we didn’t want to be a burden. I’m hoping to get a negative test later today.

What is the current thinking?
The advice is avoid people for 5 days. Avoid anyone at higher risk for 10 days. I work in a school, I think the general school policy is 5 days, but my Head has said test again on day 5, I expect it to be stay off longer if it comes back positive.
I was supposed to be back home on Wednesday - the day I tested positive. I brought enough clothes with me to last until Thursday - but as I've been in bed most of the time I have been in pjs. I also need some food. If I did a click and collect at a supermarket and wore a proper mask to collect would that be terrible? I am on my own and don't think I can get enough to warrant a full delivery. I could cobble stuff together from the freezer, but it's pasta only in the cupboard until I get a neg test. Also do you think me driving to the house to collect clothing while the rest of the family aren't there would be OK? I expect I'll be back on Wednesday regardless of any LFT, unless I'm still coughing and spluttering. Maybe I'll just make a huge batch of freezer soup and stay in bed for the next few days!

I think all those things are feasible Purps. Officially, you don't have to do any of that kind of behaviour, but I don't think you'd be putting anyone at risk. Hope you improve soon.

Yeah, officially I can just carry on regardless, but I'm not that type of person and don't want to risk passing it on.

Hope you feel much better very soon Purps. They all sound like responsible, reasonable actions to me.
