Aw bummer Jen & Daisy. Rest up when you can.

Still really tired here even being off work. Just taking each day as it comes for the moment?

Sorry to hear that LD and Jen. I’ve had a scratchy throat too and seem to have a cold. Tested negative yesterday, but will test again to be sure.

I have bad hayfever... This makes me look ill, with puffy running eyes, nose and post nasal drip making my throat scratchy. My face looks flushed.
I am starting to feel like a pariah avoiding social situations as everyone looks at me like I am spreading disease... I even skipped a concert I had paid good money for :( as the one the night before caused issues...
Pondering a badge: Fear Not: it is HAYFEVER.
:(

I've been told that I qualify for antivirals - which are now being sorted for me.
Interestingly, I've noticed that my average resting heart rate is now about 20 bpm higher (according to the sensor in my garmin watch) - anyone else who has had covid notice this? Screen shot showing my average heart rate below:

Jen, my HR is much faster these days. I had covid March 2020 and have had "long covid" i.e. post viral symptoms since. I put it down to generally being less fit because I exercise much less...

My wife noticed an elevated pulse for a while, particularly while exercising more that at rest (though perhaps this was just easiest to observe, when wearing HRM and performing at a measured level with power meter).

Seems to be back to normal a month or so down the line though. It was never severe.

Yes Jen - that was the first (and more or less only) thing that indicated I maybe had Covid - was pretty much symptomless other than an elevated heart rate. Went from its usual 45-50bpm to around 60-65 (and shot up at any effort). Seems to be back to normal now but has taken a couple of months even for me.

I'm not sure I'd have noticed if I wasn't a runner or didn't wear my Garmin all the time, but it was quite noticeable. Interestingly it also happened after my first vaccine dose...

Something I never checked to be honest.
