I’ve finally been hit with my first Covid bullet 😭 I had one of the earlier 3rd boosters in the ‘pre existing condition’ category so guess that’s pretty much worn off now?
I do feel a bit better today than yesterday which was a write off. Hoping that there’s no nasty after effects, that’s all I’ve ever really been concerned with.
Husband still negative, smallest child very likely positive and the spreader!

OH is still testing positive but past 5 days and feeling fine so allowed to go out…..confusing or what.
Still negative here although I feel so drained this week.

Hope everyone's feeling OK today.
Day 4 for me. Today was the first day I had a positive test, despite earlier ones being clearly neg. I haven't done too badly for feeling grim - it's mainly been headache, temperature, sore throat, buzzing ears, general grottiness and fatigue. The worst however has been a symptom I hadn't realised was an actual thing. Since day 1, I have seen small red spots/bumps appearing on my skin, starting on my feet and ankles, then all over my legs and arms, and a few on my torso, and they are UNBELIEVABLY ITCHY. I was thinking all sorts of possibilities - Chicken pox? Shingles? Fleas? Monkey pox? (That last one was a suggestion from my OH who'd read a report of a case somewhere in England.) A bit of Covid research has informed me it is indeed a recognised symptom and there are even a few different types of Covid skin issues. Who knew?

Hope you start to improve soon Jabberknit.
I’m just about managing to work from my bed (with occasional nap break!) and isolate as much as possible from husband but he’s mainly looking after toddler who we are sure had it so probably a waste of time.
I’ve got the usual symptoms, a massive line came up straight away for me on the first test. I started to feel ill mon night, so I can count tues as day 1. I’m desperate to go somewhere Sunday but I think to be negative by day 6 is a bit optimistic and although the advice is 5 days, I wouldn’t feel right going out and mixing on day 6 with a positive.
I’m also incredibly nervous about blood clots. I’ve had them before and I really wouldn’t like them again

Jabberknit, I got them on my back when I had it and wondered where they were coming from. I have a few appearing on the back of of leg today and was assuming I’d been bit at the weekend as I was running in shorts….here’s hoping it’s not the start again.

Sorry to hear it finally caught up with you GF. The official advice seems to be stay away from people for 5 days and vulnerable people for 10 days and not to worry about testing if you feel ok.
Although I felt reasonably OK after 5 days I still kept away from everyone until 10 days to be cautious. In fact it took until day 21 before my first confirmed negative test

That’s it, I’d feel bad passing it on as you never know how you’re going to react.
It’s football Sunday, last game of season 😬😬😬 (well, before the playoffs) but I mean you’re surrounded by people so it’s a bit off to go I think if still positive so I’d probably have to let it go.
I mean I did see this as always a matter of time with a kid at school but it’s not pleasant!

Agree it's right to be cautious.
Although if I had been hit by something similar 4 years ago I would probably have just taken a day or two off work and then just carried on as normal (actually in this case as it hit me the Easter weekend I wouldn't have taken time off).
