I wouldn't bother Bazo. Probably safe enough if you all just wave and say HNY from a distance, but against the rules which is a pretty good excuse to not do it :-)

I may take a piano to the tip but other than that don't expect to be out of the house for the next few days. PS pianos are bloody heavy even in several pieces!

I’ve got no plans for tonight. I expect to be in bed, and probably asleep, well before midnight. I just hope I don’t wake up in Groundhog Year...

In Scotland's Level 4, two families can get together in a garden. But it is bloody freezing lol.

I will have a dram or three with Sue.

Called "sampling and evaluation" in my household.

And call my daughter and her bestie.

(Son's outdoor activity centre to be used as vaccination centre). Son called into work next Tuesday to clear the dining hall, sports hall and another room so that NHS can rip out the floors and replace with floors that can be easily cleaned to the appropriate standard. These aren't small rooms the centre (as an outdoor activity centre) can accommodate more tha 200 people.
You tend to underestimate the work involved in setting these things up

There s one guy trying to arrange it all. You don't hear all year but he comes to life on the 31st. I am pretty sure most of the others he is rounding up feel like me, but not sure if any of us are ready to say no.

Its complicated as we live in a 4 house cul de sac and the organiser backs on to us....no idea who else he is rounding up though.

He seems to have dropped the idea of dragging his fire pit into the street.

Just say no and wish the guy a HNY. He obviously has no clue what is going on.

Normally, I would have no issue whaysoever with a socially distanced gathering round an outdoor firepit, especially if everyone brought their own bottles and glasses. Risk must be infinitesimal.
But tonight will be achingly cold.
