I knew I recognised the mink story. Holland and Spain had the same issue in July. theguardian.com |

Seen from a friend on facebook this morning: I'm calling this today: covid found in Danish mink. Big covid outbreak was in the Chinese workers of luxury fashion in Italy. I think it's a strong possibility covid came from mink and has spread in the fur trade. Was the bat a red herring? How close are mink to bats? Is that why the bat connection was found in the east? |

that is tragic for all those mink, although they didn't have much other life ahead of them. Anything that would end the fur trade though is a huge yes! but I suspect they'll restart it with new animals or worse cull wild animals too. The mutation is a worry though. |

I'm anti hunting, anti fur, anti vivisection and generally a paid up member of PETA and League Against Cruelty etc. but even I found it funny "was the bat a red herring" ![]() |

COVID-noia here I have a groggy throat not a sore throat, I have mild stuffiness and I feel like I could sleep for a week & I’m feeling a bit cold (not that unusual I always feel cold even in summer I’m found under a blanket). I was at a retreat at the weekend which completely zenned me out - lots of mindfulness, breathing exercises and meditating I’ve slept the best I’ve slept in years since, apparently it’s quite a normal outcome to feel so relaxed you could fall over. Having been on full tilt & anxious since we were in Oz it’s a bit like the time you finish work for a holiday and come down with a cold/bug. I got wet multiple times over the weekend and in normal times I’d say it’s a cold not even a cold worth discussing but it’s not normal times. I’ve ran through the checks on NHS & Zoe apps and neither require me to test. I’ve read up on symptoms as I have a slight change to taste that I’d expect with the funny throat I have. I can small and taste & nothing tastes bad. I don’t have a cough, fever or chills. I’m keeping a low profile anyway am I over worrying? |

I agree with EP. If only everyone was as cautious.

No GG just being cautious and responsible. I'm holed up in the bedroom with laptop and phone and hubby has been banished to spare room!
