I had heard they had cancelled appointments for the weekend, so that will be the lack of pfizer. Local news also says a few big walk-in sites in Notts are opening back up on Monday, ones that had been closed down earlier in the year

Same as from (eg) the reported 30-40k per day now (tested), it's only another 5 doublings to that million number. Herd immunity, I suspect, won't really impact until the last few of those 'doublings'.

Or is it just that what I'm seeing as BBC news is parochially UK focussed only?

Does that mean that 90% of the whole population has some antibodies (presumably either through prior infection or vaccination?) Is that 90% figure something to be really happy about in the context of a journey to herd or vaccinated immunity?
geordieclaus Dec 2021 8:46am, 17 Dec 2021 16,503 posts	Quote Pin geordieclaus Minnie Mad when we did both Iceland & Mallorca this year they had people checking you while you were in a queue to check in (much more stringent in country than back in UK on both out and back checks) just have paper copies if you can I found it easier when we took paper copies to Iceland (and would have reduced my stress significantly when I lost my phone in Mallorca!) Hope your travels goes well.
