I've been invited to join a drug trial, waiting for UCL to ring me to see if I'm eligible. It will be some sort of antiviral medication.

Used our sea-front public loos before going out rowing. A very airy building to say the least. Never crossed my mind to mask up in a bog lol.

[There used to be one in York (the infamous "splash palace") where the Gents was well below ground level, and seriously lacking in ventilation. Eventually they filled it in and now it's just another a part of Parliament Street paving. Funnily enough, it's predecessor of a similar design but of Victorian vintage at the other end of the road didn't used to have the same problem.]

[Whereas a similar underground structure in Hull is a listed building, remarked upon by Historic England for retaining its original sanitaryware.]

[Not sure. Only the gents has its original fittings. It might be the general design of the structure that's of interest, it's basically a cut and cover oval, with the cover bit formed by the plinth of a statue of Queen Victoria.

There are fittings labelled as "Thomas Crapper" in the Parcel Yard pub on Kings Cross Station. Their authenticity, I don't know about, as I'm not sure how much of what was refurbished when Kings Cross was turned into a place to want to spend some time.]
