I think that's what they will roll out nationally. School and work open but effectively rule of zero in houses and gardens.

We are heading to the boat this weekend (hopefully) my parents were coming as it’s mine and my mums birthday in one Sunday but they’re now not coming (although current rules once out of Co Durham is they can) obviously things may change before then. We’ll be in a predicament as it needs to be checked esp if longer term restrictions come in and some stuff some will have to come home. Beyond that and my feeling of anxiousness we’ll cope. I was running out of oats and rice at the weekend so have those I think we’ll survive (I have pizza flour and yeast!) |

Looking at old articles it looks like the guidance changed from "work at home if you can" to get back to the office 1st August. Here is an article 28th August talking about an ad campaign starting early September to again encourage us back to the office. google.co.uk Now 3 weeks later it's going back the other way. |

Mr LF is 50 in December. We have decided he will celebrate his 50.5 birthday instead. Not worth the risk to family of making a thing of it.

The brakes came off lockdown before the testing system was up to scratch. If you could book a local test and get the results within 24-48 hours ,(from booking to result) then things would be a lot more straightforward Obviously the test and trace system would also have to work. And people would have to abide by it. Out of interest, if it takes up to 14 days to display symptoms, at what point after getting infected would you test positive? |

It looks like the weekend in the Lake District we’ve just had was timed perfectly, and not just for the weather. And luckily my mum and dad (dad is quite ill) look like they’ll have scraped a week away before the winter just in time. |
