Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Do cycling shorts have padding round the rear? That is where I get my chafing issues. Around the tailbone. :(

Yup bree - it's wither soft leather sewn into the seat, or nowadays synthetic material.

Try a foam seat pad to reduce the chafing? Never suffered from it myself, just the usual dead ar*e feeling after an hour or so in my boat...

It's my tailbone that gets rubbed red-raw. I'll need to break out my old cycling shorts for my next attempt. Thanks for the advice, peeps. :-)

its a bloody tough challenge ! I use the gym concept . ive thought of buying a few times but its to much to justify it for me . that said if it were my main sport I probably would . they are incredibly sturdy and hold their price very well should you wish to sell later on . just try finding a 2nd hand one !its a bloody tough challenge !
