Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Finally had another go at the 15min challenge.

3978m - a new PB - it was horrible!

I set off too fast. 4km was there for the taking, but I wimped out.

Still thats 30km rowed since Monday - back to running tomorrow - hopefully.

That's a good split time FF - what is your 2km erg time?

Do you row on the water at all?

TecT - it's been a while since I went flat out for 2km - I believe I managed 7:1x (IIRC)

And despite having had the chance to row several years ago, the river never managed to entice me. With hindsight I really should have taken the opportunity. Never mind.

Dunno, but I remembered to row last week and forgot to post that I'd done it.

Has anyone set a new PB - should I refresh the article this thread is linked to?

Not sure about PB's - I just thought the thread was worth resurrecting!

Good 2km time there - shame you never made it onto the water, though I only started rowing 18 months ago in my forties, so it's never too late.... hoping to race the Heads this Autumn as a novice vet in East Anglia in my shiny single - first time racing for me...

I have a question for the other rowers here; how do you stop chafing round your arse? Do I need to be even more intimate with the Vaseline or Body Glide? I don't remember having this problem when I rowed before but I was wearing cycling shorts then.

Sorry no advice on the chafing, not something that I've suffered from rowing - I usual wear cycling shorts.
