bbc.co.uk I'm happy to contribute toward her fine. That's really unfair when it seems that things weren't clear in the first place.
Yes I thought it was very unfair to begin with, and then to fine her on top added insult to what was already a significant injury!

Also, doesn't really fit in with the "friendly" ethos of the Commonwealth Games.

The fine was from UCI, not CWF. For her, Georgia & the England Team Manager. But trying not to focus jsut on that, when she needs to be focussed on Sunday's race. And channelling all the frustration and anger into 65 seconds on the track.
There are 5 entrants, at the moment !
And then we may follow up on the policy after she's done racing ...
(Then she's off to Canada for the UCI Road World Champs (para), so proper racing, road TTs and races, 35km / 90km ish)

Watching the coverage. I've seen this segment with Tom Dean and Duncan Scott before. There's a lot of padding, and general waffle.
Why can't they show other sports when there's nothing happening in the pool?

The iplayer coverage is great. Watching gymnastics at the moment.

Thats fine, but how do you know when to flick back? I'm sure that the Olympics kept flicking between events on the main channel, with the option of concentrating on a certain sport on the iplayer or red button

To be fair, the swimming is pretty good at getting on with it (as is the cycling) - there's little hanging about.
Certainly in comparison with the world athletics champs...

There seems to be a bit in the middle of swimming where there's a lull, about twenty minutes. At least with the athletics they can show the field events.
I'll try putting the other sports on my phone and seeing if that's any better.
