Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

At least the first day of training on Christmas Eve will be a rest day ;-), although Christmas Day will be your first run of the plan which might take some fitting in. With a bit of ingenuity you could persuade everyone that your Christmas present to them is to come running with you :-p

Sam usually goes for a run on Christmas morning while I'm at church.

If you frame it as that sort of binary you might get quite a few takers!

V'rap - not this year but have in the past, and have also started marathon training plans in early December for so maintained training across Christmas week - I don't have kids though, which probably makes a big difference.

Flatlander - probably me being really dense, but if you had a plan that started on Christmas Eve, why would that be a rest day, and Christmas Day be the first day of training?

Lots of plans seem to choose Monday as a rest day. Perhaps because Sunday is often a long run.

Whilst I can see that logic, starting with the first Monday as a rest day just seems a bit odd to me (that may just be because I've never followed a plan that does that though).

Yes, exactly what fetch says, since this year Christmas Eve is on Monday.

My marathon plan has me running on Christmas Day but that’s ok because, you know, parkrun.

Sushi.
I follow plans but always end up having to move days round because of my shifts.

Mondays are likely to be a cross-training day for me because eL Bee! doesn't work on Mondays so it's an opportunity to do something we can both do.
