I'm jealous of most of you having such long breaks from work My local council is forcing its staff to take unpaid leave over the holiday period which is not so good - Lizzie W, hope you are not in that kind of situation.
Hope you all use the time to enjoy yourselves

Last day tomorrow then back on 2nd Jan. Also 'unpaid' as I'm self employed. But I like to have some decent time off, and in any case nobody wants their braces tightened over Christmas!

Glad you got the conversation back to chocolate Cadbury's Snow Bites are Mini-eggs in their winter disguise. And at Halloween, they do "Scream" eggs, which just have white middles.
Yes, I have children.
I'm finishing tomorrow at lunchtime to pick the kids up from school, as MrN has his office lunch (he normally does pick-up on Thursday and Friday), then I'm off until the 7th. I was supposed to be working on Monday, but the big boss decided to close the office and give us all an extra day off!
Yesterday, my eldest was singing in the local indoor market, at the old folks home and at the local church with the school choir. I may have had something in my eye at one or two points, and definitely feel more Christmassy now.

I have Christmas Day and Boxing Day off then full time Thursday, Friday and half day Hogmanay then off till the 7th. I am still grateful after 13 years of the fact we get 2 days each week and then you can have holidays if you want after so long long in retail with only 1 day off each week and not holidays Allowed Dec or Jan.

Time off doesn't start till after working a full day on Xmas Eve. I'll save that day's leave for when the weather is better.
We have my parents down from Sunday till I go back, though we will be doing all 5 available parkruns and then a marathon for me as well on 28th. Fun.

We used to finish quite late on Christmas Eve because we had to get all the work set up so that the poor person on call on Christmas Day didn't have to do it as well as CD's work. Same for NYE and NYD.
