I'll be at my Dad's in Herefordshire - he can't travel anywhere these days so I have to go to him. I will be taking a car-full of Christmas with me - all the food and drink, presents etc. - as Dad has dementia now and hasn't been able to do the necessary shopping etc. for the last couple of years. I already put his tree up and helped him do his Christmas cards when I was up there last weekend (and sneaked in the Telford 10k while I was there 😉) This year both my boys are coming as well, however, which will make it all much nicer for me - they have been warned about the paucity of entertainment opportunities available, and no. 2 son has bought a new games console which should help them pass the time more enjoyably than watching Grandad flick through the TV channels endlessly!
I'm disappointed not to find any parkrun activity anywhere near on Christmas day, however. I'll just have to go out for a run instead - it was, quite literally, the only thing that kept me sane last year ....

Just Raffo and me as per - and that's how we like it.
Will probably drag Raffo to track training Christmas morning, a now once yearly sprint for him!

Ah - I've just worked out why I had a million (slight exaggeration, maybe a dozen) notifications of posts on here this morning.....see, I was already watching it (was that a challenge in last year's advent calendar too? I suspect so!)

"Everyone" always comes to our place. This year I think that will mean 9, although it might be 12. We'll find out later this week. Turkey, beef & gammon. Christmas pud, trifle, something chocolatey and a panna cotte. No one leaves the table hungry - most struggle to leave the table.

Merry Christmas and Happy NewG(rrr)
I've usually popped in on Christmas day to check on TBOGUA thread.
Christmas can be a difficult time for lots of people. A lot of pressure to be "the most wonderful time of the year" and the reality doesn't always match - lack of money, people around you or anything else.
So much love and best wishes in advance to anyone struggling over Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or any other time around this holiday period. G
