It's not for me specifically. I make treadmill running scenery videos and plan to film a coach to 5k series. I don't want it to be longer than 6 weeks because I have to film it all. I want it to be easy for beginners to follow and not too intense. Does anyone know any good plans I could film? Thank you.

The FE beginners plan is based on the NHS Couch to 5K plan, but it's 8 weeks: fetcheveryone.com/beginners I'm sure you could chop out a few weeks and make the curve a little steeper. |

6 weeks might not really be long enough, though you could probably tweak the final 3 weeks of the NHS one (which is really good).

I went with the official NHS plan which (IIRC) is nine weeks? Not sure how you'd lop three weeks off and at the same time stop it becoming "too intense"?

Thanks for the responses. It's interesting to get your perspectives because to me 10 weeks seemed like way too long to build up to 5km - but that's because as a runner, 5km would be a short recovery run. Plus in the NHS plan, the last run is 30 minutes continuous, which would be a 4-mile steady run for me. So I have to put myself into other people's shoes. I like the NHS plan because, for most of the weeks, the run is the same just repeated, which means I only have to film it once! I've penciled in about 6 different locations to film to make it more interesting. I'll probably film a couple of weeks' worth in one go. The YouTube channel is called Swift Trails (https://www.youtube.com/@SwiftTrailsTV) and I started it in October. I'm constantly trying to come up with new ideas for it. A fun one I filmed before xmas was 'race the santa steam train' where I cycled next to a steam train while filming. |

I have never managed to complete the NHS plan because the increments jumped up too much for me. This is the plan I have/will be following in my running come back(s) |

Beginners vary a lot, but 6 weeks is pretty short. I have a 9 week plan I made for my PhD (an easier version than C25K) you're welcome to use, drop me an fmail and I'll try to dig it out

I've run several Couch to 5k courses a year for the last 9 years. In all that time I have have had about 2 who completed 5k in less than 30 minutes, most of mine take at least 35.
