would be useful to get a rough idea of location to see whether it is practical to volunteer. Appreciate you can't name yet but can you give a clue as to north south east or west of county?

It's west of the city, but not too far. It's convenient for Royston peeps who don't want to drag themselves round the ring road to Milton on a Saturday morning, for example. All those villages and towns out towards Beds would also find it as easy to get to as Luton.
I appreciate that you can't commit to anything yet and I'll announce the venue as soon as I practically can.

Luton? Why would anyone go to Luton? Especially if they were looking for a parkrun

Oops, I meant Bedford. Luton would be good for a parkrun. It's nice along the river there.
I really want to call it Cambridge parkrun 2, Electric Boogaloo but I don't think anyone will let me. We'll all just call it that in our heads.

No, and that makes me a sad panda but I'll be able to see my peeps when they come to the Boogaloo.
