We've cancelled our trip - weather here is good so can (hopefully) get some decent training in over next 3 days!

Knavesmire Harriers will make an announcement this afternoon after discussion with weather forecasters

I'm already out, not risking the logistics of getting the OH to work at 6am so I can have the car

I've just been out for a ride and certainly the main roads round York are fine. Smaller side streets are clearing now with more traffic. I guess the issue will be the small road past the airfield which only gets local traffic.

Probably tempting fate, but I reckon it's on like donkey kong. Latest forecast isn't too bad at all. Just about to jump on train, fingers crossed.

Roads are clear in town but like a lot of others its getting out of my street that is more of an issue. Took the bus to parkrun this morning but cant do that to BM. I'm almost hoping its called off as I would actually prefer a snowy off road run around where I lived than a tentative road half afraid I might slip over at any point.

Some other bloke has tweeted there's a six mile run on clear roads to be run instead. Harriers don't seem to have a twitter feed

Doesn't look good:
Sharon Shortle (@RYSport) tweeted at 1:15 PM on Sat, Jan 19, 2013:
Just heard...Brass Monkey half Marathon in York on Sunday has been called off. Part of the route isn't safe because of the weather.

This is YKH's twitter: twitter.com

Nothing official from them yet though
