Off to a birthday party soon, so if anyone else wants me to try to pick up their souvenir for them (I'm going down for mine, anyway) please fmail me with your name, race number, size, address and permission for me to collect it on your behalf and I'll print them out and see if the organisers will hand them over! On their website they say 'on presentation of the race number' but in the circs I'm hoping they'll stretch the definition a bit.

So, no guarantees, but I'll give it a go...

Don't forget size!

Checking their website there is a hint of a suggestion that they may be considering posting t-shirts out - they're discussing it tomorrow - but happy to take details of people and check when i'm down there. Who knows?

There had better be either a refund or a deferred entry for next year otherwise I won't be entering this one again - can't believe they have people busting a gut at 5am to get a place then I can't get my money back. Can't afford it in this day and age, need to look for good value in races nowadays.

Very few races of this kind can afford to offer refunds or deferred entry Minnie, it would either a) bankrupt the club or b) spell the end of the race, it's just one of the pitfalls of trying to put a race on at this time of year I reckon.

Even sending out the t shirts would cost them several hundred pounds. I think we just have to accept that races might be cancelled at this time of the year and they did state no refunds when we signed up.

Condition of entry stated we would not be refunded - we signed up to it I suppose although as a good will gesture they should post the race t-shirt.

Diffiicult at this time of year!

stamford 30k was cancelled last year due to snow and they sent out the race tee shirts-

i wouldnt exepct a refund- wouldnt expect them to post my top but if they want to i would be chuffed! i wouldnt imagine they would be able to reuse them next year- i also had the new forest 10miler cancelled last year and they posted out the horse brass which was date stamped so no reusable and really no good to anybody

relieved now that my race place wasnt transfered as id have felt terrible!

Wouldn't expect a refund. If you enter races in the winter there is always the chance they may be cancelled. That's something you have to accept.
