I assume you're suggesting that because four villages could offer partial refund then BM should too..!?!
It's hard to compare because we (or at least me) don't have access to all the information, breakdown of costs etc. on the two events. Until I have that I cannot make any references as to why one can offer a partial refund and one cannot.

I would imagine that any race cancellation insurance for winter races would be somewhat expensive and littered with caveats to ensure the insurance company doesn’t have to pay out.

How much was it to enter this year anyway? I did Inskip half, wasn't cancelled, wasn't even any snow and I can definitely recommend it, fast and flat same as BM with free hotpot at the end
