Chnage the saddle pronto then - or get your bike shop to do it for you. Well worth the effort.

Last year I used a Giant SCR 3 triple, which was fine but I had no emotional bond with it.

Erghm.... why would I want to change the saddle, I just said I like it... I have very narrow hips for a woman and my seatbones are close together. It is a whoppingly lovey Fizik saddle that retails at over £200, I ain't changing it! Just because I am a woman, does not mean I need to ride a pink woman's bike with a wide gell filled saddle with a cutout, right? I can ride for hours on that bike without having to even lift my bum out of the saddle... well, unless there is a steep hill to climb :-)

I must clear out my garage and whittle down on the bikes. I have a dawes Sarder Touring Bike, Dawes Comp Mountain Bike, Fugi Road Bike and Kinesis/Specialised road bike.
Looks like the kids bikes will have to go!

Greg, been told the bike is not suitable for just training on, as it is a racing bike for road racing... it is carbon/composite alluminium and therefore a fairly harsh ride, but it is fast :-)

I.e. I think the lbs wants to get his hands on it and sell me another bike... apparently it is quite rare, built from a frame set to almost highest spec Shimano... all ultegra :-) and without waterbottle, tool bag and pump and with its racing wheels back on it weighs in at 7.8 kgs!!!

Oh, well I have done a couple of 1000 kms on it now, and no ill effects! I can ride 6 hours on it without getting saddle pain, as long as I am wearing bike shorts. So no reason why I should change it I'd say, it is just that everyone says I should??? I have never mentioned it, but when other cyclists, especially women or bikeshop people, see it they go aaaauuuuch! I know a lot of people have trouble with saddles, but mine seems just fine!

Sorry, I think it is about 1000 kms... but still, enough to know weather it is right or not :-)
